I'm a weekend warrior and have been having a fun fun time doing short kayak trips (2-4 hours each) with family and friends. The Wisconsin River (near the headwaters) has been relaxing and interesting to explore.
Tldr: great time, go back there early spring for longer tube trip.
can't say enough about how great of an experience we had doing the lazy river ride down from here. The staff is amazingly accommodating and make you feel right at home. The trip is an easy 2+ hour and my only though is it could be longer.
We lucked out on a party cloudy Saturday with80 degrees. They also have canoeing and even paddle board yoga.
We went kayaking for a bachelorette party and had a blast! The staff was so friendly and helpful! They made the experience even better! I would recommend this place to anyone in the area! The water and atmosphere was so amazing! We had a very fun and relaxing time!!! 5 stars all the way.
Wildwood was a top notch experience! The owner Jason was wonderful and informative. Jess was super friendly got us set up with great accommodations for our trip and Todd was an incredible and informative driver. We couldn't of asked for better service! The river trip was beautiful and scenic. So much fun and an all around wonderful experience with this business.
Visiting the Northwoods and wanted to do something fun. Found Wildwood Outdoor Adventures which had many things to choose from. We went tubing down the river and had a great time. Relaxing float, beautiful scenery and we saw a bald eagle as an added bonus. I would do this again next year and possibly one of the other activities.
Nicole, Jason and Todd are super nice and supply all you need for a wonderful time. I love the convience of having them drop you off and pick you up. And they have many different kayak (or canoe) routes for you to try out.
Last month - my kids and grandkids were in town. We rented 13 tubes and 2 kayaks to go down a wider part of the WI river and it was one of my best memories of the summer.
